Armada Board and Bike Skatepark
Jacob Gritzinger and Tyler Ross had a dream: a free skatepark where kids could come to Armada, Michigan and have a first-class skating experience. After years of fundraising and support from many people and organizations, the skatepark had its grand opening on August 12, 2017.
The park is located in Armada Township. Township Supervisor John Paterek was a driving force in helping to make this project a reality. UAW Ford and Blake Farms were also major supporters. Skatepark construction experts Spohn Ranch from California were retained as the prime contractor. A long list of others provided financial and/or in-kind services to make this project a reality.
My wife and I were pleased to support this effort. I hope to make future visits there to photograph people having fun and enjoying the facility. Congratulations to all that made this skatepark a regional asset for Armada Township.
