Crossroads of Michigan – A Detroit-based Social Services Organization
I was honored to be asked to photograph the staff, clients, and volunteers at Crossroads of Michigan, a non-profit agency delivering a wide variety of services to those in need in the Detroit area. This page features staff portraits that will be used on Crossroads’ updated website, which is not yet live.
The process I used to capture these images began by making a traditional “eyes at the camera” portrait. Then we asked a senior staff member to ask a series of questions and I made additional portraits while they responded. This provided a range of emotions and expressions – telling the story of each person on the team.
These Crossroads of Michigan Headshots tell the stories of each person as they speak about the mission of the non-profit organization, their role, or the benefits they have received. Their words are powerful and their mission is so important in Detroit.
